Itinerary

Day 1Airport - Negombo

Welcome by our representative at Airport and transfer to Negombo.

Negombo is a major city in Sri Lanka, on the west coast of the island and at the mouth of the Negombo Lagoon, in Western Province, Sri Lanka. Negombo is a modest beach town located close to Bandaranaike International Airport.

Visit to Negombo Beach and Dutch Canal, Negombo Fort was a small but important fort in the town of Negombo, The Dutch Forts of Sri Lanka – The Military Monuments of Ceylon.

Overnight stay in Negombo.

Day 2Negombo - Kandy

After breakfast, visit Kandy. En-route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Visit the Elephant Orphanage, where you can view the feeding of elephants, which takes place daily. The highlight of this event is to observe feeding of baby elephants using Milk bottles. After feeding of the elephants they will be taken by foot to nearby river for their daily bath. Visit the Temple of Tooth. The main attraction of the city and also the most sacred Buddhist establishment in Sri Lanka is where one of Buddha’s tooth is being kept. Built in the 16th century but improvements and additions have been done to this structure until the fall of the Kandy kingdom. A golden canopy was added recently. Daily rituals are being carried out at various offering times to the shrine.

Day 3Kandy

After breakfast, Visit to the Market Place, and an Arts & Crafts showroom. Then drive along the Upper Lake Road to get a panoramic view of the Kandy Lake and its environs and drive past the picturesque University premises. Late afternoon witness a cultural pageant highlighting various up country dance forms, including a fire walking display.

Day 4Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, visit Nuwara-Eliya.

Nuwara Eliya (City Of Lights), Blessed With Salubrious Climate, Breathtaking Views Of Valleys, Meadows, Mountains And Greenery; Surrounded By Hills And Tea Plantations, The Town Of Nuwara Eliya Enjoys Spring-Like Weather Throughout The Year. It Is Also Known As “Little England”, Which Was The Favorite Hill Station Of The British Who Tried To Create Nuwara Eliya Into A Typical English Village. The Old Brick Post Office, Country House Like Hill Club With Its Hunting Pictures, Trophies And Strict Formal Dinner Attire; The 18 Hole Golf Course, Horse Race Course, Etc., All Remind You Of “England”.

During The City Tour In Nuwara Eliya You Will Visit The Main Attractions Of The Town Which Include The Golf Course, Trout Streams, Victoria Park, And Boating Or Fishing On Lake Gregory. You Can Also Visit A Working Tea Factory Where The Slow-Growing Tea Bushes Of This Highland Region Produce Some Of The World’s Finest Orange Pekoe Tea.

Day 5Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, visit Nuwara-Eliya.

In Nuwara-Eliya You Can Also Add Seetha Eliya And Haggala Gardens. Seetha Eliya Is A Temple Which Was Mentioned In The Famous Epic Ramayana. Haggala Is A Temperate Hill-Country Garden Where Languid Low-Country Lotus And Water Lily Float In Their Serene Loveliness. (Entrance Fees to Sites Not Included) Overnight At Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6Nuwara Eliya - Ella

After breakfast, visit Ella.

The views through Ella Gap are stunning, and on a clear night you can even spy the subtle glow of the Great Basses lighthouse on Sri Lanka’s south coast. Rawana Ella Falls are about 5km away on the road south through Ella Gap. They’re quite spectacular. Take a walk through the tea plantations to Little Adam’s Peak south-east of the town centre, and about 45 minutes away.

For more strenuous exercise walk to the top of Ella Rock for views across the Hill Country and with the town nestled in the hills below you.
