Itinerary

Day 1Airport - Kandy

Welcome by our representative at Airport and transfer to Kandy.

En-route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Visit the Elephant Orphanage, where you can view the feeding of elephants, which takes place daily. The highlight of this event is to observe feeding of baby elephants using Milk bottles. After feeding of the elephants they will be taken by foot to nearby river for their daily bath.

Visit the Temple of Tooth. The main attraction of the city and also the most sacred Buddhist establishment in Sri Lanka is where one of Buddha’s tooth is being kept. Built in the 16th century but improvements and additions have been done to this structure until the fall of the Kandy kingdom. A golden canopy was added recently. Daily rituals are being carried out at various offering times to the shrine.

Day 2Kandy

After breakfast, visit Kandy.

After breakfast, Visit to the Market Place, and an Arts & Crafts showroom. Then drive along the Upper Lake Road to get a panoramic view of the Kandy lake and its environs and drive past the picturesque University premises. Late afternoon witness a cultural pageant highlighting various up country dance forms, including a fire walking display.

Day 3Kandy - Pollonnaruwa

After breakfast, visit Polonnaruwa.

Polonnaruwa was the Islands medieval Capital during the period 11th to 13th century A.D. The city in its day was fortified with three concentric walls, beautified with parks and gardens and sanctified by many shrines. Visit the ruins of the Audience hall, Council Chamber, the Royal Citadel, the Kumara Pokuna (pond), Royal Pavillion, Siva Dewale, the Thuparama, the Vatadage Relic House, Kiriwehera, Hatadage, Gal Vihare, with most impressive sculptures & stone carvings.

Day 4Pollonnaruwa

After breakfast, visit Polonnaruwa Minneriya National Park.

Polonnaruwa is one of the best in which to spot Sri Lanka’s legendary elephants, with Minneriya and Kaudulla national parks being the places to head for. Both parks are centred on extensive tanks where elephants congregate in increasingly large numbers towards the end of the dry season, particularly during the famous “Gathering” at Minneriya National Park.

Day 5Pollonnaruwa - Anuradhapura

After breakfast, visit Anuradhapura.

Anuradhapura which was founded in the 04th century B.C. has the largest number of Ancient monuments which flourished in this region. Visit the Royal Palaces, Shrines, Dagobas and Sri Maha Bodhi. Taking pride of place is the Sri Maha Bodhi, the Bo Tree grown from a branch of the very tree under which the Lord Buddha attained enlightenment the oldest historically documented tree in the world, over 2200 year old.

Day 6Anuradhapura - Colombo

After breakfast, visit to Colombo.

En-route visit National Zoological Gardens of Sri Lanka is a zoological garden in Dehiwala, Sri Lanka, founded in 1936. Its sprawling areas are host to a variety of animals and birds. And Visit to National Museum of Colombo, also known as the Sri Lanka National Museum is one of two museums in Colombo. It is the largest museum in Sri Lanka. And Visit to The Galle Face is a five hectare ocean-side urban park, which stretches for a half kilometre along the coast, in the heart of the financial and business district of Colombo.

Day 7Colombo

After breakfast, visit to City Tour of Colombo.

You will be taken on a city-tour, roaming the entire city. You may visit to shopping in the commercial capital of the Island and you can visit to Viharamahadevi Park, Pettah Markets, Traditional Puppet Art Museum, Puppet shows were long a part of traditional entertainment in Sri Lankan villages.
